This one of a kind handmade watch part ring features an antiqued silver plated oval bezel. It has a smooth adjustable band up to a size 11. I used a colorful collaged background before placing genuine vintage pocket watch parts, including gears, cogs, pins, etc. It is encased and frozen in a hard glass like jeweler’s resin.
The process of making this watch part ring takes several days. Before the resin can be poured, the background and items require many coats of sealer, each of which much dry before moving on. The resin must be mixed precisely and worked carefully to remove trapped air bubbles. Once the resin appearance meets my high standards, it must cure in open air for 24 -48 hours before being touched or moved at all. The result is a slightly magnified, beautiful glass like finish. No two rings are exactly alike.
The metal base is nickel free pewter.
